The Workers’ Compensation Fund Control Board (WCFCB) is a social security scheme responsible for compensating workers in respect of accidents suffered and diseases contracted during the course of employment in accordance with the provisions of the Workers’ Compensation Act No. 10 of 1999 of the Laws of Zambia.

The Workers’ Compensation Fund Control Board invites applications from suitably qualified Zambian citizens to fill the following vacant positions.

A. JOB PURPOSE

To ensure the efficient, secure, and reliable operation of the organization's ICT infrastructure by planning, implementing, and maintaining enterprise systems, including email platforms, server hardware, virtualization environments, and productivity tools. The Systems Administrator will support business continuity by managing backup and disaster recovery solutions, enhancing system performance, and providing second-level technical support to end-users. This role is critical in driving technological innovation, maintaining compliance with industry standards, and aligning ICT operations with the organization’s strategic goals. 

B. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Administer and maintain virtualization environments for Nutanix, VMware, Hyper-V.
• Optimize resource allocation to ensure peak performance of virtual ma-chines.
• Manage backups and disaster recovery solutions for virtualized systems.
• Administer and maintain the organization's Active Directory (AD) infra-structure.
• Manage user accounts, groups, and permissions.
• Implement and enforce Group Policies (GPOs).
• Plan, install, configure, and manage Microsoft Exchange email systems.
• Monitor email performance, availability, and security.
• Implement and manage email backup and archiving solutions.
• Install, configure, and maintain Windows and Linux servers and clients.
• Ensure patch management and security updates are applied regularly. 
• Provide support for Microsoft Office 365 and related productivity tools.
• Assist in onboarding new users and troubleshooting application issues.
• Set up and manage network equipment, including routers, switches, firewalls, and access points.
• Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal network availability.
• Plan and implement network upgrades and expansions to meet growing business requirements.
• Perform routine checks, troubleshooting, and upgrades of server hard-ware.
• Ensure server hardware operates efficiently and meets system demands.
• Collaborate with vendors for warranty claims, repairs, and hardware pro-curement.
• Implement and manage the enterprise storage solutions (SAN/NAS).
• Ensure efficient utilization and scalability of storage resources. 
• Manage ICT inventory and maintain accurate asset records.
• Design, implement, and test backup and disaster recovery solutions.
• Perform routine disaster recovery drills to ensure business continuity.
• Participate in ICT strategy development, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
• Research and recommend new technologies to improve system efficiency and effectiveness.
• Plan and execute infrastructure projects, including system upgrades and migrations.
• Set up and manage monitoring tools such as Nagios, Zabbix, SolarWinds, or PRTG) for servers, networks, and applications.
• Analyze system performance metrics and recommend improvements to optimize performance.
• Create dashboards for real-time visibility of system health.
• Provide second-level support to end-users for complex issues escalated from the helpdesk.
• Develop and maintain detailed system documentation and procedures.
• Train staff on ICT systems and productivity tools to maximize system us-age.
• Coordinate with vendors to resolve hardware or software warrants or ser-vice agreements.

C. JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Grade Twelve (12) Certificate with five (5) credits or better which should include
English and Mathematics.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or re-lated field.
• Professional Certifications, Microsoft Exchange certified, Azure Administrator, VMware Certified, Nutanix Certified, CompTIA Server+, CCNA, CCNP or equivalent are highly desirable.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a similar role managing enterprise ICT systems with proven expertise in Microsoft Exchange and Office 365.
• Proficiency in platforms Nutanix, VMware, Hyper-V.
• Experience in Server Hardware, SAN/NAS storage, and networking.
• Experience in Linux and Windows Server environments.
• Knowledge of IT Security best practices and technologies.
• Experience in implementing backup and disaster recovery solutions.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (Oral and Written communication skills)
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Must possess a valid Zambian Driver's License with a minimum of 3 years driving experience, driving manual transmission vehicles will be an added advantage.
• Must be a member of the Information and Communications Technology Association of Zambia.

The Workers’ Compensation Fund Control Board (WCFCB) is a social security scheme responsible for compensating workers in respect of accidents suffered and diseases contracted during the course of employment in accordance with the provisions of the Workers’ Compensation Act No. 10 of 1999 of the Laws of Zambia.

The Workers’ Compensation Fund Control Board invites applications from suitably qualified Zambian citizens to fill the following vacant positions.

STORES OFFICER

To manage the Storeroom and maintain a buffer of stocks in order to control issuance and receipt of the materials in line with the Board policies and procedures.

B. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Receives stocks from vendors via the Procurement Unit, inspects supplies and accepts or rejects them depending on quality and specification given to ensure compliance to the procurement guidelines.

• Raises goods received vouchers, monitors stock levels and issues stocks in absence of Stores Clerk and records such issues as per procedures, to provide an accurate record and enhance corporate image.

• Consolidates daily activities, monitors and reports on all issues in the stores so as to review, establish and advise on stock levels for timely replenishment of the same.

• Checks on all updates from the Stores Clerk in order to ensure correctness of details and queries doubtful figures or details.

• Monitors consumption of fuel to ensure accountability and prepares the report for superior’s attention.

• Compiles reports on any shortages, losses and expired stocks for the attention of and for relevant action by superior.

C. JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Grade Twelve (12) Certificate with five (5) credits or better including Mathematics and English.

• Degree in BA/Purchasing and Supply/Stores Management

• At least three (3) years’ work experience at Management level.

• Must be a member of the Zambia Institute of Purchasing and Supply (ZIPS)

• Numerical and interpersonal skills

• Good personal organization

• Computer literacy

INTERNAL AUDITOR – INFORMATION SYSTEMS AUDIT

A.JOB PURPOSE
To assist superior with planning, auditing and general assessment of controls, accuracy of financial and operational processes/procedures and effectiveness of the same to ensure accountability for and transparency in the use of all Board assets.

B. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
• Examine internal IT controls, evaluate the design and operational effectiveness, determine exposure to risk and develop remediation strategies.
• Audit security and network problems.
• Audit to all system and/or network security breaches.
• Plan, implement, monitor and upgrade security measures for the protection of the organization’s data, systems and networks.
• Audit and Review the change management process.
• Test and identify network and system vulnerabilities, and create counteractive strategies to protect the network.
• Conduct efficient and effective IT audit procedures.
• Communicate complex technical issues in simplified terms to the relevant staff.
• Perform regular audit testing and provide recommendations.
• Review, evaluate and test application controls.
• Provide recommendations and guidance on identified security and control risks.
• Develop a strong understanding of business and system processes.

C. JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Grade Twelve (12) Certificate with five (5) credits or better which should include English and Mathematics.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or re-lated field.
• At least three (3) years’ relevant work experience.
• Member of Institute of Internal Auditors and Information Systems Audit and Control Association.
• Should be a Certified Information Systems Auditor.

A. PURPOSE OF THE JOB

To provide a confidential secretarial service to the superior to contribute to the achievement of the Board’s objectives.

B. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• To type accurately from dictation or from manuscript, memoranda, letters and various reports as well as all draft correspondence and documents of the superior to ensure attainment of high quality standards.

• To draft and type routine letters based on precedent in order to contribute to the efficiency of the department.

• To attend to incoming calls, screen all telephone calls and visitors to superior and attends to calls from stakeholders in order to maintain communication with the superiors and beneficiaries.

• To make appointments for the Director/ Manager and reminds superiors over any pending appointments/engagements so that they manage time according to schedule.

• To maintain an up-to-date filing system for confidential information and other records to ensure that there is easy retrieval of information.

• To carry out superior’s instructions for effective and efficient running of Director’s/Manager’s office.

• To order and replenish office Supplies and equipment.

• To make Hotel and Travel bookings for superiors as and when required.

C. JOB REQUIREMENTS

Candidates must have the following:

• Grade Twelve (12) Certificate.

• Diploma in Secretarial shorthand – 120 words per minute

• Good Communication skills

• Computer literacy.

STORES ASSISTANT – HEAD OFFICE (1)

 A. JOB PURPOSE

To manage the Storeroom and maintain a buffer of stocks in order to control issuance and receipt of the materials in line with the Board policies and procedures.

 B. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manages Stock levels in line with the re-order levels to avoid stock outs.

• Raises goods received vouchers, monitors stock levels and issues stocks in absence of Stores Clerk and records such issues as per procedures, to provide an accurate record and enhance corporate image.

• Ensures the inventory module in sun system is updated with received and issued stock items.

• Consolidates daily activities, monitors and reports on all issues in the stores so as to review, establish and advise on stock levels for timely replenishment of the same.

• Monthly reconciliation of physical stock levels to the stock levels on the system.

• Ensures correct figures are recorded for all stocks dispatched from the stock room.

• Monitors consumption of fuel to ensure accountability and prepares the report for superior’s attention.

• Compiles reports on any shortages, losses and expired stocks for the attention of and for relevant action by superior.

• Makes recommendations for disposal of all obsolete stocks.

 C. JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Grade Twelve (12) Certificate with five (5) credits or better including Mathematics and English.

• Diploma in Purchasing and Supply or equivalent.

• At least three (3) years’ work experience at Management level.

• Must be a member of the Zambia Institute of Purchasing and Supply (ZIPS)
